Cremation

The cremation process involves both the body and the coffin being cremated. In most circumstances, the ashes will be available within 48 hours.
There are a variety of options for a final resting place. The family can choose to have the remains interred in a garden of remembrance, a commemorative wall or on a pre-exciting family grave or scattered in a significant location.

McEvoy Funeral Directors takes care of all legal procedures, from servicing as a witness to the application for the cremation. We also organise completion of a medical certificate by the deceased attending doctor.
Whenever necessary we will also arrange for the completion of the coroner’s certificate for cremation which may involve the removal of any implants; pacemakers, artificial hip etc.
